Ampthill U18 Girls opened the season hosting Gosford at home in Dillingham Park. As the day had a very strong and low sun the officials decided to break the game into 4 quarters with ends switched at each quarter.

Ampthill had a large number of changes to the squad since last season with a number of the more experienced players now ageing out and an influx of younger players moving up from the U15 squad. Inevitably the lack of playing time together allowed cracks to appear in the play which Gosford punished each and every time. Despite a valiant effort by Ampthill, Gosford finished the game as the dominant side.
