Northampton Sileby Rangers vs Real Bedford FC

  • Northampton Silbey Rangers FC Fernie Fild, Talavera Way Northampton, England, NN3 6FR United Kingdom (map)

Real Bedford travel to Northampton today to play the return leg against Northampton Sileby Rangers. The first leg was played in the daylight at McMullen Park and was bitterly fought. Real Bedford came away with a win for the first meeting but that was a slim victory at 2-1 and with Sileby Rangers a man down after a yellow card.

Northampton Sileby Rangers come to the match this evening a deficit of some 24 points but with an additional 3 matches in hand compared to Real Bedford. Whilst Sileby Rangers are unlikely to challenge Real Bedford directly for the top position at present, Bedford only have a 9-point lead over their nearest rivals Rugby Borough. The Pressure is on for Real Bedford as every point will count in the final few remaining games of the season. Real Bedford has huge hopes of finishing top of the division this season and winning promotion to the Premiership.

The weather in Northampton today is very mild with a very low chance of rain so the hope is for a pitch that won't cause too many upsets with sharp turns. This should prove to be an energetic match with Rangers looking to regain their honour in their own ground.
